Laurie enjoys sharing the joy of movement with both experienced and beginning students; it is her belief that the many dimensions of Nia provide everyone an opportunity for ongoing growth and personal evolution. Laurie is committed to Nia, and is honored to share her experience and enthusiasm with each of you. |

Carolyne has a professional background as a ballet dancer, certified fitness and yoga instructor, personal trainer, movement specialist and Reiki master. Her love of dance and movement began early with training in both gymnastics and dance. Fifteen years of classical ballet along with jazz and modern dance led to the stage, and sparked her desire to both perform and teach. Blending an education in anatomy, kinesiology and movement, Carolyne's understanding of the body as well as her sense of humor, enthusiasm, and love of proper, safe technique, provide a workout experience of knowledge, wit, and wisdom. |

| Hollie Rogin | ||

Dance Instructor Hollie Rogin has been a Nia student since 1997 and was a certified Nia instructor from 2001-2006. Her classes offer students the opportunity to explore movement in ways that facilitate body awareness, self-healing, fitness, and raucous fun. Hollie brought Nia to Girls, Inc., a nationwide nonprofit program for at-risk adolescent girls in Denver in the summer of 2003. Blending classic Nia movements with enticing sounds and an exuberant style, Hollie offers students a pathway to healing, wholeness, fitness and joy. |

| Karuna (Caroline Ashley) | ||
Karuna (Caroline Ashley) completed teacher training in the Kundalini Yoga tradition as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 2007 and has been teaching yoga in Boulder since 2001. In addition to her own classes, she regularly assists Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa (Founder and Director of the Golden Bridge studios in Los Angeles and New York) at her workshops around the country. Karuna has also been certified to teach pregnancy yoga in the Kundalini tradition. Karuna began her own yoga practice in New York in 1985. Later, while living in London, England from 1987-1992, she helped to create the "The Life Center,” a yoga and healing center in Knotting Hill Gate. During this time she taught private yoga classes. Living in Santa Monica, CA from 1994-2002, she continued her training at Yogaworks with Seane Corne, Eric Schiffman and Shiva Rea. She began studying Kundalini Yoga at Golden Bridge with Gurmukh in 1997. In Los Angeles, Karuna taught yoga to young children and teenagers in the public school system. |

Nancy is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with over 3000 hours of yoga teaching experience. She has trained with many senior level teachers in Ashtanga, Anusara and Iyengar style yoga. She holds a BFA in dance and has been a dance professional for 26 years. Nancy’s dance experience includes technique classes, performance and choreography in ballet, modern, hip hop, jazz and aerial dance. Her current dance passion is Argentine tango along with other ballroom dances. Nancy is also a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Coach. Kulwant Kaur (KRI certified) has been passionately practicing Kundalini yoga for the past four years at Golden Bridge Yoga in Los Angeles under the guidance of Master teachers Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, Harijiwan Singh Khalsa and Tej Kaur Khalsa. Her classes are light and welcoming with an underlying firm foundation created by her consistent commitment to her own practice, both as a student and as a teacher. She plays with a wide range of music and chanting, breathing techniques, and a variety of meditations to inspire happiness and inner fulfillment. Challenging postures encourage physical prowess, but modifications are always available to provide a wide range of experience comfortable for all students. |

Stephen, founder and director of East Meets West LLC, has a master’s degree in Oriental medicine from the Southwest College of Acupuncture. He is a certified Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist with over seven years experience in therapeutic treatments, and has also taught massage for two years at the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy before moving to Boulder. A lifelong practitioner of Tai Chi Chuan, Stephen has over 5 years teaching experience, including a position at the Omega Institute in New York. He is also currently employed by Southwest Acupuncture College as an instructor. |
