BOOM. is an entity that mashes up 16 smokin’ hot young dancers (ages 20-34) with 20 smoldering older dancers (ages 35-60). The result of this rich mix is a non-stop dance production of athletic, humorous, soulful modern jazz work. BOOM. at Alchemy:

Nancy Cranbourne and her collaborator, Linzee Klinkenberg share the artistic directorship of BOOM.
Nancy is the artistic director of 40 Women Over 40, a dance company based in Boulder, Colorado. This unique company consists of 45 female performers over the age of 40. Nancy’s background includes teaching dance for the University of Washington, Cornish College of the Arts, University of Colorado, Colorado State University, and the National Theater Conservatory. Nancy is also an award winning actress and playwright. Nancy is currently collaborating with 4 Seattle choreographers to create Still There, a solo dance/theater work about dementia. In Boulder, Nancy’s focus is honed in on producing BOOM. BOOM’S highly anticipated Colorado premiere will be at the Dairy Center for the Arts on April 27 – May 6, 2012. Boulder native Linzee Klinkenberg began her dance career performing with local staples Interweave Dance Theatre, Helander Dance Theatre, the University of Colorado and her mentor Nancy Cranbourne. While in high school she co-founded the New Vista Dance Co. with John Corsa. She earned her BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. Upon graduation she began teaching at Whitman College, the University of Washington and Cornish College. She has danced with North West favorites Spectrum Dance Theatre, Seattle Fringe Festival, Strictly Seattle and choreographers including Wade Madsen, Deborah Wolf, and Michael Foley. Her most recent choreography premiered at the Dairy Center of the Arts and Seattle’s Full Tilt showcase this summer. She teaches dance and movement classes at Alchemy of Movement, Boulder Ballet, and with Fitness for Living as a certified Personal Trainer, Bootcamp and Yoga Instructor. She is currently in production of her next full-evening length dance production BOOM. debuting in the Spring 2012. Linzee’s greatest work is her role as mother of four young sons.
